We believe that through education, sterilization, and legislation we can eradicate the homeless animal companion problem in this country. There are far too many wonderful dogs being destroyed, when those dogs either were – or could be – someone’s beloved companion.
Our Mission
X-Port Paws, Inc. is a North Carolina based (Florida, CT., NJ, Texas and Georgia) 501 (c) 3 non-profit. Our focus is on getting dogs out of shelters who are on the “X” list, Code Red dogs who were slated to be killed for time and space. We also focus on preventing dogs from going into shelters and becoming yet another sad statistic.

Nathan Winograd, Father of the No Kill Equation and author of “Redemption``Through extensive volunteer work with various rescues, Michelle and Liz learned that the rescues were only saving and adopting out the most desirable dogs (think white, fluffy, house trained & well mannered, hypoallergenic). They realized that so many dogs were being killed because the rescues didn’t want to spend the time and resources to get them adopted.
They decided to team up to start a rescue and within 2 months, X-Port Paws was up and running! We now save any and every dog that we can and provide them with the medical treatment, fostering, training, and whatever else they may need to be adopted into a loving home.
Since then, X-Port Paws has saved over 2,000 desperate dogs and counting! Please consider a donation to help us continue our mission!
